SHC USRPS Acceptance Tests and
Delivery for RNPP

Acceptance tests of Software and Hardware Complex of unit system of reliable power supply (SHC USRPS) of power units №№ 3, 4 of the Rovno nuclear power plant were successfully carried out in Westron on May 17-18, 2013. The commission included representatives of SD RNPP and SSTC NRS.

Structurally, SHC USRPS is realized in the form of two sets of the equipment and intended for providing with reliable power supply RNPP II category consumers of normal operation systems of power units №№ 3, 4 in the conditions of deenergizing.

The supply of equipment on RNPP was carried out after completion of tests on Westron's industrial platform.

SHC USRPS implementation into trial operation is planned for 2013.

 

Ukrainian-wide Scientific and Technical Seminar
"Critical Computer Technologies and Systems"

Westron's employees took part in work of constantly operating Ukrainian-wide
scientific and technical seminar "Critical computer technologies and systems" on the subject "Information Technologies of Accidents Monitoring and Safety Assessment of man-machine systems" which was on April 3.

Vitaly Tilinsky, Westron chief engineer specializing in projects of information systems has presented the report "A problem of nuclear power plant postemergency monitoring: the decision on the example of PAMS for SU NPP PU №1" in which tasks and functions of PAMS, its place in structure of information
systems of the nuclear power plant, the latest requirements to the similar systems, formulated after accident on the Fukushima plant, and also Westron's experiment on the problems solution of postemergency monitoring on the example of PAMS for SU NPP PU №1 were reviewed in detail.

Constantly operating Ukrainian-wide scientific and technical seminar "Critical computer technologies and systems" works at chair of computer systems and networks of National Aerospace University of N.E.Zhukovskogo "Kharkov Aviation Institute" since May 31, 2001. The main work directions of a seminar are connected with the analysis, modeling, design, tests, production, examination and operation of computer instruments, systems, networks and IT infrastructures for critical and commercial appendices taking into account requirements to reliability, survivability, functional and information security. The scientific adviser of a seminar is the honoured inventor of Ukraine, the Doctor of Engineering Science, the professor managing by the department of computer systems and networks (No. 503) - Harchenko Vyacheslav Sergeyevich.

 

Filing Systems Tests and Delivery
for SU NPP

On March 21-22, 2013 acceptance tests of filing system have been successfully carried out in Westron site in conditions of design and beyond design basis accidents ("a black box") for the power unit No. 1 of the South-Ukrainian nuclear power plant. The membership of the acceptance inspection included representatives of the Customer (NAEK "Energoatom") and the State Nuclear Regulatory Inspectorate of Ukraine.

During the filing system designing for SU NPP PU №1 the special attention was paid to its integration with system of post emergency monitoring (PAMS) and information systems of the nuclear power plants crisis centers to the common complex possessing by increased survivability, capable to assist the personnel of the nuclear power plant with information in the conditions of design and beyond design basis accidents.

 

Table Tennis Tournament

11 not indifferent to Ping-Pong Westron employees took part in tournament. Competition was carried out on circular system only in time off and was lasting nearly 2 months. In intense fight the victory was pulled out by Andrey Prisyazhnyuk, the leading engineer of K1 division. Together with laurels he got a "bowl of Graal" - a cup of the winner with a memorable engraving.
