Rivne NPP Installs
Automated System Of Radiation Control
At 4th Reactor
The Rivne nuclear power plant has installed an automated system of radiation control at its fourth reactor.
Ukrainian News learned this from a press release of national nuclear energy generation company Enerhoatom.
On December 14, a meeting was called on the results of completion of the installation efforts, with the participation of representatives of Enerhoatom, the State Nuclear Regulatory Committee, heads of the equipment makers, companies Vestron (Kharkiv) and Positron GmbH (Zhovti Vody, Dnipropetrovsk region), and delegates from the Kuznetsovsk-based Elektropivdenmontazh installation and adjustment center, the press release says.
The delegates to the meeting pointed out skillfully conducted installation of the system, the high quality and convenient operation and servicing of the equipment installed.
The experience obtained in the course of implementation of this project will be used in modernization of similar systems at other Ukrainian nuclear reactors, Enerhoatom says.
As Ukrainian News earlier reported, Rivne NPP installed an automated system of radiation control on its third reactor in May.
The system replaced old systems of radiation control at the NPP, which allowed increase of automation level, reliability and quality of radiation control.
Enerhoatom is running four Ukrainian NPPs, and produces about 50% of Ukrainian electricity.
