Enterprise December 9, 2011 An interview with the General Director of the enterprise Michael A. Chernyshov has been published in the heading PERSONS AND COMPANIES in the information-analytical magazine for specialists in the field of automation “Automation World” (No. 4, November 2011).
Vulcan Hardware Delivery December 6, 2011 Westron has made delivery of Vulcan hardware within the system implementation framework of primary to secondary circuit leak operation control and damaged steam generator finding by nitrogen-16/inert radioactive gas at the Power Unit 5. Equipment assembling, commissioning and startup and putting into operation are planned to have been finished by the end of 2011.
Rovno NPP Unit 2 Hardware and Pipes October 28, 2011 The Start-Up and Site Acceptance Test of the System for Residual Fatigue Lifetime Diagnostics (RFLDS) of the Rovno NPP Unit 2 hardware and pipes has been successfully completed at Rovno NPP site. The RFLDS has been put into pilot operation. The system is analogous to the RFLDS of the Rovno NPP Unit 1 that was put into operation a few months ago. The RFLDS has been designed for computerized monitoring of cumulative fatigue damages and assessment of residual fatigue lifetimes of the VVER-440/VVER-1000 reactor vessel; pressure compensator; steam generators; main coolant pipes; and other hardware of the power unit. The RFLDS design, manufacture and supply to Ukrainian NPPs are provided by “Technostandart” Research Institute (Kharkov, Ukraine), “Gidropress” Design Bureau (Podolsk, Russia) and Westron LLC (Kharkov, Ukraine). The similar systems for NPPs with power units VVER-1000 successfully operate at Khmelnitsky (Unit 2) and Rovno (Unit 4) NPPs since 2008.
